Well time is just flying here. We’ve just concluded Day 2 and are we zonked. We’re taking it easy, having a unity night to re-connect with one another over a bowl of instant noodles, hummus and pita bread.
Sorry about the lack of updates, we haven’t been here too often to get them up and our connection here has been a bit of a joke. I’m averaging 10kb/s at best, so trying to post a slideshow is even larger than a matter of time to create it. I still don’t even know what I’m going to do for Thursday (our 10th anniversary).
For those of you planning on a pilgrimage: if I have one bit of advice to give, it’s this... no it’s not sunscreen (although that is a great idea). Train. Train. Train. Not as in choochoo (although that is the best way - fastest and cheapest- to get here). Train and as in Rocky. Stair master would be ideal. Grouse Grind if you’re in Vancouver. And even trained, make sure to stretch before AND after. Of you could spend a load of cash taking taxi’s and sharutes, but come on... people pay good money to get this kind of workout, weight loss. Next: WATER. Drink lots of water. What you don’t sweat out, you’ll more than likely cry out. So re-hydrate. Tears don’t just form out of thin air.
