Yeah we know... but it was.

Well we’ve finally arrived at our hotel here in Tel Aviv.

Getting off the airplane as we were looking for the train station, I notice a young blonde dude in a Superman shirt and a guitar case amongst his belongings.  My Baha’i Radar on... he was indeed on his way to serve for 18 months at the World Centre.

Also met a few other Baha’i youth, who were World Centre bound. Some Year of Service, some actual department individuals. So interesting how Sarah and I picked three of the four out without having actually met them.

We got off the train a stop too far (followed the directions told to us by a train employee).  Doubled our walk with all our bags to the hotel. Started to rain.  The forecast lightning storm didn’t happen, thankfully. We definitely went through some of the seedier parts of town.  Very photographable... although I didn’t.  Too exhausted and hungry.  40 hours since I really slept a wink.

The people here at the De La Mer are absolutely awsome.  The room is great.  The breakfast absolutely delicious. They let us check in a few hours early.  So kind.

We showered off the grime of our trip and got a short shut eye before unpacking.

Hungry (but wanting something simple and fast) we wandered down to the walkway on the beach.  One of the three couples we met and talked extensively with at breakfast told us there were some good food options.  Well we came across a... McDonald's. Although we resisted, it was just the simplest, so we went in.  They have a McKabbab!  The little things are so great. I didn’t have it, instead I had a Royal... or rather a Spicy Royal.  It was kabbab meat as a burger.  Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

We returned and conversed at the front counter with one of the employees for quite a while and are now trying to stay up a little longer before properly crashing

We have an excitedly relaxing yet adventurous plan to people watch tomorrow, as everyone runs around preparing for the Sabbath.  Going to go visit the Carmel Market too.

Here is a picture from the view of our deck.

Talk to you all tomorrow.
